To effectively enhance the product innovation capabilities of Hong Kong appliances SMEs’, Hong Kong Electrical Appliance Industries Association organized two workshops and invited the representatives from German Pool and Philips to share their views and knowledge on product innovation in April and May. The third workshop was just held on 3 July and continuingly shared the product innovation strategies.

The theme of this Product Innovation Workshop was “Innovative Technology: Integration of intelligent ecosystem”, two honorable speakers were invited. Phantom was selected as one of the innovative companies in China, Mr. Xiang Bo Long from Beijing Phantom shared the innovation strategies of Phantom and how they present innovative elements into their intelligent home appliance products. Whilst, the founder of TOTEX and IDMA, Dr. Gabriel Tong applied his theoretical articulation of experience to analyze the product innovation strategies of the four studying companies in this project. There was a Q&A session in the workshop to foster the communication between speakers and audience, which allowed them to share opinions about product innovation.

Workshop invited renowned speakers including:
